I Could Write It Better Than You Ever Felt It

Fall Out Boy's Hum Hallelujah is stuck in my head. I actually miss listening to their songs!

Hum hallelujah
Just off the key of reason
I thought I loved you
It was just how you looked in the light
A teenage vow in a parking lot
"til tonight do us part"
I sing the blues and swallow them too

What I wore today!
G&Q oversized pink top, silver belt, mom's skirt, white heels, Ralph Lauren houndstooth bag

Professor: "Erika, bat ka naka-formal today? Report?"
Me: "No miss, wala lang po"

Mark: "Corporate day today?"
Me: "Nah, just felt like dressing up today"

I really just did feel like dressing up today :-P

I feel like dressing up again tomorrow. Hmmmm, what should I wear? :-)

On an unrelated note, I have decided that I will start doing (and finishing) my Kaspil2 papers during the weekend. I've finally finished my VERY LAST MassCom outline. I couldn't be any happier! I definitely won't be missing making those outlines, most especially the subject! I remember telling myself that if I fail MassCom, I'm shifting. I sure do not want to take it up again especially if Ms. Sibayan's the professor. But I think I have to pass on that thought. I don't see myself in any other course but CommArts. And besides, she's still gonna be my professor next term for a different major (Concept) anyway. Haaaay, Sibayan.

I just want this week and next week to be over with! Hell week sucks hell. Term break I need you now! I need to go on a shopping spree. ;-P second term, I'm excited for you!

Pretty Eventful Weekend

PHOTO SHOOT FRIDAY

Friday was the day I dedicated to my IntPrin group. :-) we had our fashion spread photo shoot in the morning at GP which ended at around noon. For the shoot, we borrowed clothes from bYSI which were modeled by 4 awesome possum friends of ours. The clothes were so nice, I wish they were mine! Especially the super cute little black dress which costs 3, 500!

Group shot!
(From L-R: Abbie, Ramon, Michelle, Jeune, Erika [me!], AJ, Carla, Maxi, Nix, Mickey & Ron)

I don't have the official pictures for the mag except this one.

Since the shoot ended early, we were able to have lunch out and hang out in school for a while. I was asked to go to The Block to fetch some shoes for a product shoot and since I didn't wanna go alone, I called Desa. We were going to meet up at around 6:30 pm pa so I had a whole afternoon to kill. There was an event in school, Green Nation, which we didn't really participate in but we were just there. There was free food too! Food fest. :-) we got some cotton candy! And some free coffee. ;-) I spent half the time with Reese, Brent, AJ and ate Cams and the other half with just AJ. We killed time in the conserve since it was getting too hot outside! Took lotsa photobooth pictures. :-)

The Pebbles look.

I left school at around 5:30 then got to The Block about an hour after, just in time to meet Desa. It took them awhile to release the shoes to me! I got them at around 8:30 na, actually. But on the bright side, I found a really cute pair I liked & reserved it. Stupid atm won't let me withdraw. :-( so yeah. BV night, sort of.

Poor picture quality. :-/
Thrifted blazer, Mossimo tube top, Tinkerbell necklace, rolled-up jeans, People are People gold glitter belt, So Fab heels

CASINO ROYALE SATURDAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKO CARREON!

I had some "me time"! I woke up early for the shoot that was supposed to happen in Cubao X at 9 am. It was already 9 but I wasn't leaving the house yet since I live nearby and I was waiting for messages of my groupmates. No one was replying and no one was answering their phones so I stayed at home. About 2 hours after I found out that they got kicked out of Cubao X! So yeah my morning plans were ruined, sort of. I didn't join them for the shoot anymore.

I went my lola's house to get my money then off to Trinoma I went! Here's where my "me time" begun. I watched Up in 3D! Yeah I was pretty willing to spend a lot for that. It was so sad, I cried three times. :-( but I love it! I love how Disney movies make me cry. :-) Russell is too cute! Anyway, after the movie, I went to The Block to get the shoes I reserved the day before. :-) so happy! I'm starting to become shoe fetish. :-/

I went home after and Dani was here shortly after, to start preparing for Miko's. Lara came over as well and we left for the party at around 9. Frankly, last year's party was better, but this year's was good as well. :-) it's just that I don't know much of who attended this year! But at least I was with my GCPs :-)

My favorite part of the night: Vergs and Lara's version of the reverse "I've Never"! Secrets revealed (well just the two of them). WILD NIYO LANG. :))

Love you, GCPs!
Hah, talo ka Vergs! :)) si Lara pa hinamon mo! LOL.
M(phosis halter top, Herbench skinny jeans (rolled up), So Fab heels, zebra-striped tie, People are People gold glitter belt

We left the party at around 1:30. Sleptover at Lara's after. :-)

FAMILY SUNDAY

I left Lara's at around 1 to go to Shang for an interview. Unfortunately the interview never happened as my interviewee didn't show up. :)) so I ended up window shopping. I saw lots of good stuff in Topshop and Zara. I should start saving up again! Note to self: stop spending too much money on food.

Went home at around 3. Mark arrived at around 4 to do the product shoot with me. He was my photographer! Yey thanks Mark. :-) he made me try to do some shots as well. I'm excited to take FOTOCOM already! I need a dSLR please!

I went to my lola's house then Rockwell after. I watched Up again, but this time not in 3D and I wasn't alone anymore. :)) watched it with my cousins, titas and pamangkin. :-) I didn't cry as much as I did yesterday!

We didn't have Lulu Belle :-( but we bought Royce chocolates! And we were supposed to have dinner at Pepper Lunch but they refused to serve us because there was be a lot of us. Grrr, I was already in my "beef pepper rice" zone! :-/ =)) we ended up having sisig at Dencio's.

Went home after.

God, I sound so boring. :-( I suck at blogging!

Anyway. Hell week's here. But that doesn't stop me from not doing what I have to do. :))

Party? Party!

Girl Talk

I love how I can talk to my mom about (almost) everything. On the way home from school earlier, we were talking about boys, boyfriends, exes, and recent guys we like. It was so fun! I love how I can be open to her and she can be open to me as well. :-)

I told her about the type of guys I like and don't like... with examples. :)) coz there's this guy who's totally annoying me right now. The conversation started because of him, actually! Anyway. So I showed my mom pictures of the guys I used to like and the guy I like right now. Conversations about "types" followed, again! I don't like funny guys, I'm more inclined to liking the serious-type of guys. And now I finally know where I got it. Mom said that it's normal for only children (girls) to be attracted to a guy who's just like her dad. In my case, my dad's quiet and pretty serious, but can get funny at times too. THAT'S HOW I LIKE MY GUY TO BE!

When I told my mom that the guy I like right now has a girlfriend, she just said "sus ok lang yan!". I swear that made me laugh! WOOT AHASIN NA. =))))))))))))))))

We had an hour-long conversation. I swear I love how my mom and I had it. I love how she's my best best friend among my best friends. :-)

PS. I wasn't the one doing most of the talking. She had her share of sharing experiences and agreeing with what I say. :))

PPS. Yesterday was a GV day for me!

I Wish Vampires Were Real

OH MY GODRIC. ♥

I started marathoning True Blood some time last week. The first time I watched it (when it first came out in 2008), I actually didn't like it because of all the sex and gore. I didn't believe my mom when she said that it would get better as the series progresses, so I stopped watching after the first episode.

I got bored last week and got curious about True Blood again and decided to give it a go. I GOT HOOKED. The story's good but weird. But better than Twilight, of course. :-) it's more "realistic" in a way... vampires burn in the sun, they don't sparkle and they sleep in the day!

I'm a Bill/Sookie shipper, even if I think Eric's hotter than Bill. They make me more kilig than Edward/Bella! :x vamp sex is so hot. I wish vampires were real. :)) I'd have sex with Godric any day. Or Eric! AAAAHHHHHHHHHH :x

I can't wait for episode 10 of season 2! I just saw episode 9 this morning and oh my mama GODRIC!!!! I miss him already. :-( it's so sad that he's already gone. I cried along with Eric! But I did cry human tears, not blood. ;-)

Godric, I love you forever. :-(

Anyway, I'll leave you guys with pictures. I'm getting derailed. I need to start writing properly now! I suck at reviews and other things like this. Especially when I get all hyped up and excited about what I'm writing! Aaaahhhhh anyway on to the pictures...

Hey Godric, how you doin?!

So godly. O:-)

So cute! Just had to post it. Found it in Tumblr. :-)

Hot season 2 promo shot!

Sorry if all the pictures are from season 2. I personally think it's better than season 1 :-)

CAO Awards 2009

Thrifted black dress, Rusty Lopez Balmain-inspired heels, Banana Republic jasmine jacket, beret, chain belt, vintage "magazine" clutch bag

The night was very eventful for two of my best friends... Reese and Brent! But I'll get to that later. So, CAO Awards... it wasn't as fun as last year's! This year it was only held at the Sports Complex (last year: Great Eastern Hotel/Aberdeen Court) and it ended at 8:30! We (Brent, Reese and me) arrived at 7:30 so we weren't really able to catch anything.

Fashionably late grand entrance-rs. :))

Reese & I with the newbies!

We decided to go out for drinks after. It took us a long time to finally decide where to go (and we thought since we couldn't decide, we'd go home instead): Bazzo bar at Blue Wave. :-) we got "drunk" on Margarita!

Kuya Alvin, Rash & ate Cams were there too!

We left at around 11 though 'cause Reese had a curfew. But but but...

Extremely happy vibes at Brent's car! SOMEONE'S GOT A GIRLFRIEND! :-D

I'm extremely happy for Brent and Reese, really. :-) ate Pre and I have been screaming really loud for the both of them since last night (well I still am screaming deep down inside. So freaking happy for you two!)! I don't think I've ever seen Brent as happy as he was last night. Great vibes in the car last night. ATE PRE, TAYO NALANG SINGLE SA HTF!!!!!!!!!!

For more pictures, go to my Facebook/Multiply page. :-)

Looking forward to next year's CAO Awards! Hopefully it would be less boring. And that Jazz would win tons of awards! LET'S DO THIS, JAZZ!

Great Game, Archers.

Great game, indeed.

Starting at 5pm earlier, Twitter and Facebook status updates have all become related to the UAAP match between the DLSU Green Archers and ADMU Blue Eagles. I was on the Green side, of course. ;-) unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to bag myself a ticket to watch it live in the Big Dome, but I think watching it on television was more than enough for me. :-)

The game was wild. Pretty intense, actually. For the first 3 quarters, the Archers were 6, 8 and 4 points in the lead, respectively (if I remember it right). As I predicted, there would be an overtime with the score tied up to 67. In the end, the Eagles were victorious with a score of 76 to the Archers' 72.

It was a very interesting game! I couldn't help but shriek here at home. :)) the halftime was FTW, also! Good job, pep. (Nix very madami ang focus sayo! Quidot ka ni mr. Cameraman. :-P)

For quite some time now, I've had a hidden happy crush on one of my classmates who happens to be one of the Green Archers, too: Maui Villanueva. It's not so hidden anymore now, is it? And just today, I've developed a happy crush on another one of my Green Archer classmates: David Webb! And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. Come on, scoring 26 points in today's game? HE WAS AMAZING! (In your face, Dr. Hernandez [Kaspil2 prof]! :)) he keeps on 'teasing' them in class. "Ano laman ng bola? HANGIN." and other shit like that HAHAHA) I think he was the best player in today's game. Unfortunately for the Green side, the Archers' momentum completely lost after Webb's now infamous "kick". :-(

Maui Villanueva

David Webb

Despite the loss, I still think it was a great game. It was too intense for my life! Til the next game :-) LET'S GO ARCHERS!

Andrada (hehehehe sorry :|), Villanueva (!), Mangahas, Webb (!) :-)

ANIMO LA SALLE!

Seaofshoes Is An Inspiration

I literally just browsed through Jane Aldridge's (http://seaofshoes.typepad.com) WHOLE blog! I visit her blog daily but just to check if she has recent updates. It never really occured to me to read her whole archive! I didn't really do much reading, though. Her pictures are amazing. One of my purposes on browsing her blog was to look for some fashion inspirations for the upcoming CAO Awards. We, LSDC-Jazz, seriously have no idea on what to wear to that event yet. All we know is that we're aiming for the "Best Dressed Group Award"!

I did save A LOT of her pictures, most of which I'll use for future fashion inspiration ;-P here are a few staples that I think would be helpful for LSDC-Jazz for the CAO Awards:

(apparently the theme is "fashion show with a twist" and our TM picked belts/suspenders in the drawing of lots)

I think we're going for belts since they're dressier and easier to find than suspenders. All of the pictures above are of Jane Aldridge. :-) here are a few others I found on Lookbook!

Here's Jane's sister, Carol.

Isn't she so pretty? I love her blazer in the first picture and her dress in the second!

I am so in love with Jane Aldridge's closet, I'd kill to raid it (no, not really)!

I hope these would help us win the best dressed group award! :-D
