Remix '11: ANIMOtion

So this was the event I was talking about two posts ago. I finally had the chance to bring out my camera again and snap away. :)

If you're wondering why I'm holding my camera that way... well it's because there's something wrong with the lock of my internal flash so I kind of have to hold it down so it wouldn't flash. Found a solution before the show though: tape! I have yet to have it fixed. It sucks how ALL of my cameras have some kind of dysfunction. :(

It's been months since I last covered for an event and since I wasn't a performer for this show, I grabbed the opportunity to go and be trigger-happy again. Here are some of my favorite shots of the night:

Congratulations to LSDC-Contemporary, LSDC-Street, all the participants and the champions, Skittlez Crew! Til next year's Remix ;)

More photos here and here. Looking forward to the weekend--I will be covering for another event (for Harlequin again, I'm so stoked)!

PS. I have officially resigned from my job. Having totally mixed emotions about it, but I guess I'm more happy than sad. Trying out Zumba next week and hopefully if it works out, I'd be an instructor someday.

Close Enough

Started out with an attempt to copy someone from a 9gag (which I have yet to find again so I can make my meme!) which then turned into a photo/video cam whore session. Spent the entire day in Taft with Lenard (and Rond, later on). I seriously thought I was over my letting go issues but apparently I'm not--see, I still spend at least an entire day in Taft once a week. Funny how when people see me in Taft, the only thing they say to me is "bakit ka nandito?" (why are you here?)... can't let go of Taft that easy!

PS. listen to this! Florence + The Machine's take on Drake and Rihanna's Take Care. Bananas it is soooo good.

There's Something About Us Anyway

A rope braid's apparently much easier to do than a fishtail braid. Takes much less effort and time, too. Anyway, spent most of yesterday/night in school covering an event which I will blog about very soon.

The rest of the night I hung out with Rond and Lenard and I still continue to wonder why they're my friends (lol kidding). I was trying to beat Rond's high score on Paper Toss whilst screaming in a mix of frustration and rage, sort of. After a couple of rounds and almost draining Lenard's battery, I finally did (5 tosses in the bathroom level, bitches). It felt like such an achievement, hah. Also felt so badass (but not as much as two weeks ago) staying out late even when I had work the next day (aka today. A Sunday. For crying out loud.) although I really had a difficult time getting out of bed this morning. On the bright side, work wasn't so bad today.

On the way home a friend introduced me to this cover and I instantly fell in love with it. The saxophone sold it. Total eargasm, if you ask me.

It might not be the right time, I might not be the right one but there's something about us I want to say cause there's something about us anyway. ♥

Fashion Bloggers Night x Generation RX

Kyss x Fiamma on 11/25: I had such an amazing time! First, by winning Camille Co's blog giveaway, I got to attend the Meg Up & Coming Party Series: Fashion Bloggers Night featuring Laureen Uy and Camille Co at Kyss. It was great to finally meet some of my favorite Filipino fashion bloggers! I was on 'fan girl' mode the whole time, I swear.

With the hosts for the night, Laureen Uy and Camille Co

Lissa Kahayon, Kryz Uy, Patricia Prieto and myself

Brb spazzing. Kryz Uy, my ultimate girl crush! I was so glad to finally get to meet her. And I got so kilig when I talked to her and she knew my name!
Me: "Hi Kryz! You're from CADs right? I'm LSDC!"
Kryz: "Erika! :)"
I was spazzing, alright. I didn't even have to introduce myself! I was so starstruck. I still am.

Patricia Prieto. I love love love her hair!

Bianca Gonzales

My date for the night, Michelle

My classmate and co-blogger, Megann

Then, Michelle and I headed to Fiamma for the Generation RX party. It was such a last minute decision, I'm glad we were able to get in! It was the best FFF to date (well, for me). That, or I just really missed partying.

My party boyfriend, Chuckie! I love you! I'm glad I got to see you again last night, I missed you like crazy!

With the already buzzed Nikita and Jason, hi.

Bumped into an old friend, CJ!

Jason my love who adores the 'Miley hair' that I apparently have

And as promised... decent outfit shots, at last!

Vintage blazer, my mom's corset, vintage corduroy pants, Brash nude pumps, Charles & Keith bag, Forever 21 rings, Swatch watch, necklace given to me by my best friend which she got in France!, my old roommate's belt (hi Rizzie!)

Cheers to the freaking weekend!
