It's True I'm Stuck On You

I went to F21 again today :3 went back to purchase the strappy espadrille wedges I tried on (see previous post) but when I got there, they ran out of my size ;_; all the size 8s were gone! It was so depressing because it was the only style that did not have my size anymore :( I ended up getting this for myself instead:
Patent leatherette espadrilles

And a new connector ring!

I swear I have a feeling I'd be going shopping every week until I feel so much better about myself. Teehee.

Redemption Is Here

Vintage skirt worn as dress, vintage cream vest, belt, F21 beanie, SM dept. store hobo bag (which I blinged up with old necklaces!), Parisian studded ballet flats, Swatch gold watch

Sorry about the crappy phone pictures. :( I don't bring my digicam around anymore and my SLR's still with my mom and she won't be back til next week. One more week without a camera (not like I use it all the time when I have it... but still. Hihi) :(

You will be mine in at least a day, F21 strappy espadrille wedges! MIIIIIINE. :)

I love how comfy they are, I can actually wear them to school!

So basically my "redemption plan" is to go back to being me--dressing up for school just for kicks, splurging and going gaga over clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, planning and going to day outs and night outs with friends, Happy Thursdays... yep basically that's it. Good plan, eh? I'm probably gonna be impartial to (romantic) love at the moment.

Retail Therapy

I finally got to visit the newly opened Forever21 here in the Philippines! :)

Of course I went home happy with my new purchases :) that store is heaven, I can't wait to go back and purchase some stuff I left behind! So anyway, I got myself a new wallet and beanie awhile ago :) I saw some really cute dresses and shoes but I'd need to save up some more. Going back within the week for the wedge espadrilles I was eyeing on during my whole stay in the store!

Since my camera's with my mom who is in Indonesia right now, let's do away with these photos I jacked off the F21 website :p

Embossed checkbook faux alligator wallet in cream

Loose knit crochet beret in dusty pink

I also bought a new shoulder bag from the department store (which I don't have a picture of, boohoo). Let me just show you guys next time :)

*sigh* I missed shopping. :)

How untimely of me to post such photos right now seeing as they make me feel depressed at the moment, but I can't help myself. Maybe I'm just masochistic like that. And that these photos are just so sexy or adorable. :)

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

Last week was such a terrible week for me. I lost my heart to a lover, but I lost that same lover as well. :( although it hurts a lot and I may not be okay for a while, I'm glad that we're still friends. We started out as good friends anyway, so I don't see any reason we can't go back to being that.

Constant reminders about how it's not my loss and pep talks from friends have been keeping me strong for the past few days. I feel blessed to have such amazing friends :)

On a lighter and happier note, I partied last weekend!

Happy 18th birthday, Issay!
Thrifted gold sequin top, People are People black skirt, Parisian studded flats

PS. I need some retail therapy. I still haven't gone to Forever21 :( must. go. before. this. month. ends!

3 8's and 6 Counts

Marking the 30th year of existence, we the La Salle Dance Company-Contemporary will give honor to those who came before us, to those who built the name of De La Salle University's premiere dance company.

From La Salle Dance Troupe to the La Salle Dance Company-Jazz, the company has never changed in its vision of excellence in the art of dance. We never stopped in sharing our stage to our fellow artists. We never failed in presenting meaningful pieces, concerts and performances, and we never stopped on growing.

To date, the company is composed of the same passionate individuals, with the same hearts for their craft. And on it's 30th year we present you
"3 8's and 6 counts"
; our definition of life through dance; our pains and struggles through dance; our happiness and joy through movement; the air that we breathe; the moment that we live by; a gazillion pictures and images that can only be expressed in the way we do best.

Celebrate with us. It is our turn to give back what you have given us for the last 30 years.

"3 8's and 6 counts" will be staged at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium on August 19 and 20, 3 and 7pm, 7pm respectively. Please contact any member of the company for tickets and further information.

Get Ready For The Showdown!

Being part of the UAAP Opening was such a fun experience! At first, we performers thought that our numbers (Showdown and Hataw Na with Gary V) wouldn't be crowd-pleasers (comparing it to previous seasons' opening numbers). But fortunately, we were proven wrong! I've been hearing a lot of good things about it so far and I'm glad to have been part of such an amazing season-opener. :)

If you guys weren't able to catch it live or on TV awhile ago (for viewers in the Philippines), I think there's going to be a replay at around 6:30 or 7 tonight at Studio 23. :) and the videos will be out on youtube anytime soon! I will post them here once I find some :D

Here are some backstage photos from my camera:

Sorry Paozu, this is just a winner shot!

Can't wait to see official photos! :D

Oh and btw, today the first game of the DLSU Green Archers were also held (right after the opening). Congratulations on the first victory of the season (80-62 against UP)! ANIMO LA SALLE! :)

Are you ready for the Animo of an Archer?

"Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and think of what could go right."

So things have been getting a bit complicated nowadays, but don't worry, I can still manage. :) this whole week we've been preparing for the UAAP Opening Ceremonies which will be held TOMORROW! If you're from the Philippines and was unable to get a ticket for yourself, tune in to Studio 23 at 1PM! The first game (DLSU vs. UP) will follow right after :)

This season's theme is heroes. “Because we need heroes… I want people to realize there’s a hero in each and every one of us.” - Bro. Bernie Oca of DLSU. I'm glad that my school's hosting season 73 and that I'm one of the performers! :) it's been one of my dreams to be able to perform in Araneta Coliseum and I'm glad that I'm finally going to get to do so tomorrow!

Does this count as annoying?

So cute! :3

Things have started to become really hectic for me right now... midterms coming up, so many tests and video deadlines, Art in Action, UAAP opening (which I'm so stoked for, by the way), 30th anniversary coming up and lots more. Good thing I've got Toy Story 3 and Eclipse out of the way! Despicable Me is next!

Anyway I did say I was going to do a post about recent purchases, but maybe I'd save it for my next post! I thrifted some goods this week, I can't wait to show you guys! Bye for now, I've got tons of schoolwork to do, boohoo :(
