What's (Usually) In My Bag

Since someone on my Formspring asked me to create a "what's in your bag" post, here it is! :)

So what you see are... my wallet, Victoria's Secret Pink perfume, Clinique make-up bag, readings (;_;), Jordi Labanda notebook, sunglasses, USB flash drive, iPod touch, Skull Candy low rider headphones, lighter, keys, Starbucks planner, pencil case, Nokia 6300 and Samsung Star. Oh, and I usually have training clothes (shirt + cycling shorts) in my bag as well. :D

At the moment, my favorite bag's the newest one I got: my Nine West handbag (which can be found here) :) I usually like my bags big... big enough to fit even my Canon 30D (which I by the way, also bring to school almost everyday... so it's also inside my bag). Sometimes, I bring the camera bag along with me, but it's so huge for a camera bag--it looks like a kid's lunchbox!--I'd rather use a huge bag to fit all my stuff + the camera.

There ya have it! Keep them questions (and suggestions?) coming on Formspring!

Love Me Back?

Today is one of those unusual Fridays I have--no training or school! So I stayed home all day watching episodes I missed of my favorite TV shows. :) One Tree Hill never fails to make me shed a tear or two (or buckets, actually). ♥

"Don't wait. Life's too short to play games. If you love somebody and you wanna be with them, then go get them. Deal with the mess later; we don't know what tomorrow will bring." - Haley, OTH season 7 ep 17

Today I also tried taking self-portraits for my photography class. I wasn't able to achieve the look I was going for, so I guess I'd have to re-shoot (elsewhere--I hate the lighting in my room) some other time. *most of the shots that came out nice were the unfocused ones T_T*

FOTOCOM (photography class) is giving me a hard time :( although I love photography, seems like it doesn't love me back :( it's still the route I want to take in my course though! I have to get out some more and just keep snapping. If only I can make everything arbitrary at this point :( unfortunately since I'm still learning, I've got to follow rules. *sigh*

Believe With All Your Heart

Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracle is gonna come from, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it's right around the corner and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it, you just might get the thing you're wishing for. The world is full of magic, you just have to believe in it. So make your wish. Do you have it? Good. Now believe in it... with all your heart.

:)

PS. RIP my favorite necklace :(

I don't know how it happened, but it broke in half while I was wearing it :( I swear it saddened me when I saw it was broken :( someone, give me a similar necklace please? :)

Oh God, Please Let Me Hold You

Kathryn and Jakob - Contemporary (Finale Encore)
Song: At This Moment - Michael Buble

INSPIRING.

Kathryn has been my favorite all throughout the season. I loved her most with Legacy! Remember this? It's still my favorite dance from the season. But this finale dance with Jakob--holy guacamole! It's just beautiful :) there's no other way to describe it!

Can't wait to dance some SYTYCD-inspired dances for the LSDC-Contemporary concert on the 25th of March ;) all I need is a daily dose of SYTYCD (which I have on my iPod) to get myself on a contemporary dancing high!

You're Making It Hard For Me To Stay, Hard To Walk Away.

STATUS OF LIFE.
Thank you, Usher.

11:11 - I wish that you would make up your mind and make it easier for me to do whatever I need to do.

I'm happy to have my baby girls who keep me sane :) Sharks, Mushrooms -- they drive me crazy.

University Week culminating night cast. :)

University week is over... it's midterms week already! :( thank God this weekend was a long one (more time to... procrastinate). I love how holidays land on a Monday; it's the only thing I like about Mondays actually. The only thing I'm looking forward to this week is Beach Thursday with my baby girls! :)

INSERCH rationale, check.
POLISCI paper, halfway there.
FOTOCOM photos, ohboyyyy.

By the way, I've been home alone with my grandpa and little cousins the whole weekend. Everyone else at home went to the province (Davao) because my great grandfather died. He was 96. It was my first time to experience death of someone I personally knew. :( I would've gone with them to Davao but I couldn't coz of school. So since Saturday night, I've been cooking dinner for everyone left here at home. I don't really know how to cook anything but an omelette! At least last night's pork steak was a success. :)

So, how was your weekend, guys? Hope everyone had a great one! :)

Xing Tiao Wu

Got myself some henna tattoos yesterday at the La Salle fair!

Xing: Chinese for star

Tiao Wu: Chinese for dance
(okay some of my friends said this only says wu. What does that mean? Chinese friends, help! I'm Chinese but I know nothing :()

Can't wait to get myself permanently inked! I'm getting one with my mom (yes, she's a cool one :D) soon--most prolly after I turn 18 (which is 3 months from now!). :D I still haven't decided on what it would be though, and where exactly I'm gonna have myself tattooed. Right now I'm debating on whether I'm getting a phrase in a foreign language, "no day but today", or a foreign (Korean, Japanese or Chinese) character like my hennas on either my lower back, nape of the neck, near the hips or upper back. I'm scared to get one on my wrist though I think it would be really interesting!

Hmmm, what do you think?

Thursday Sessions

Topshop shirt, People are People shorts, striped leggings, Sanuk sandals, Nine West handbag, random accessories

LSDC-Contemporary has finally left its "dark ages"! :) I'm so glad that we all finally get along, even if it meant out for some members. Thursdays = bonding time (aside from the weekly training) with my baby girls :) Beach Thursdays will live!

Hearts Day at Clark

Valentine's shmalentines... I don't think I've ever enjoyed that holiday since I became a teenager. I remember when I was a kid, my mom and I would make cards for my relatives. I'd enjoy cutting out red and pink heart-shaped paper and writing on them with glitter pens. As I grew older, Valentine's became all about being jealous of my friends with lovers, or really tight groups of friends who celebrate a single ladies' night out.

Last year I spent my Valentines in my NSTP site and with my friend Iana in the LSGH fair. Might I say it wasn't a pretty awesome day, but at least I wasn't alone. This year, since it was a Sunday, I spent it with my aunts and niece at the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark. The balloons, planes, kites and gliders were pretty interesting, but I found the day rather dull. We got to the destination at around 5:30 in the morning. The hot air balloons landed at around 8 am and since then, we were just sitting on the same spot in the food court for hours. HOURS, I TELL YA. We were eating non-stop, just to be able to save the table. We tried flying my niece's kite every once in a while, but for some reason it wouldn't fly as high as the others. It was my first time to fly a kite so I guess I did pretty good for a first-timer. :) the rest of the time I was either asleep on the table or trying to take photos for my photography class.

We were supposed to have dinner somewhere nearby after but I fell asleep in the car, I don't really know why we didn't end up having dinner anymore. Prolly there were too many people? At around 9 or 10 pm, we were finally back in Manila. Although I was asleep almost the whole time (on the table and in the car), when I got home, I crashed on my bed and woke up the next morning. :3

I wish next year's Hearts Day would be better. I'd say bye to being single, perhaps? :P

Some photos I took during the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (more on Facebook):

Pasinaya 2010

Pasinaya 2010 was the first Pasinaya (arts festival) that LSDC-Contemporary ever joined. It was held last February 7, 2010 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Might I say that it was an awesome experience :) dancing the Tinikling for the first time under the scorching heat of the sun was worth it in the end. It was a fun experience plus we (LSDC-Contemporary) found new friends (Romancon)! Since we're all girls, we got paired up with our counterpart from Benilde, the St. Benilde Romancon Dance Company (who are by the way, amaaaaazing dancers) :)

First, we showcased a dance piece we practically already know by heart, ZAL:

Next, we participated in the Bonggang-bonggang Bamboo: The Tinikling Showdown with hundreds of other people. I think there were at least a thousand dancers doing the Tinikling! It was so embarrassing because we were in the middle, and most of us didn't even know how to dance it well! Oh well, at least I think we were able to pull it off. ;P

Mosh and I
La Salle-CSB Folk Dance Group! :)) (LSDC-Contemporary + St. Benilde Romancon Dance Company)

Lastly, we watched other shows :) we watched Romancon's, HTG's and PHSA's. Unfortunately, I only have photos from Romancon's since my camera's battery died after their show :(

They performed their Danceleb winning piece!

Well that's it... that was my Pasinaya experience! Can't wait for next year :)

Think How Many Times You Like

The 23rd Dancelebration was a success! :) LSDC-Contemporary, we put on a great show and I'm so proud :) I love you guys! And congratulations to all the competing groups (especially the winners--Claret Hataw, UP Streetdance Club and CSB Romancon Dance Company) for a job well done. :) see you all again on the 24th Dancelebration? Yes yes? :)

Who knew fully booked tiring and stressful weekends would be so fun?

We be the organizers, LSDC-Contemporary :) all smiles due to a very successful event!

Rehearsal photos from the night before the event:

Can you easily spot me in the photos? :P I really loved performing this dance piece (it's called Zal [Jose Rizal]), even if it's a re-staged dance. I think the re-staged version is better than the original one (which we did during Rendezvous, our dance concert held last March 2009). :) will post a video as soon as I get hold of one!
